Here’s what I have found. You will do a google search for “quotes for short term car insurance” or “car insurance short term quote” or some other variety of that phrase, you get the point. Then multiple websites will come up, promising you quotes in 2 minutes to 9 minutes etc. I wanted to get several different quotes, so I selected one of the websites that offered quotes from several companies instead of a specific company web page (GEICO etc). You’ll go in and start filling out the questionnaire. The time estimates are accurate, it only takes a couple of minutes to fill out the questionnaire. However, you’ll go through the whole thing – which is usually multiple pages long, and never find a spot where you can specify the length of your insurance, or even that you’re interested in short term insurance instead of the standard 6 – 12 month policy.
